The Silver Bison Ranch has been in the business of raising North American Plains Bison since 1992.  Approximately 400 healthy and happy Bison/Buffalo currently reside at the 1000 acre ranch near the Western Wisconsin town of Baldwin.  Many items available from the Silver Bison Ranch are hand made by Native Americans living in Wisconsin and Minnesota.  Pictures of the ranch and the wild bison are available for viewing on our website, in addition to a description of management practices that are beneficial to not only the bison, but the environment as a whole.

This holistic approach to managing ranch resources protects all the species that live here.  Many types of native grasses, trees, pheasant, white tail deer, and monarch butterflies are just a few of the species that thrive in this environment.

The Silver Bison Ranch also markets all natural meat products to restaurants in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN metropolitan area.  Our meat contains no steroids, growth hormones, or antibiotics.  All bison as the ranch are open range raised and are never exposed to a feed lot.  They only eat the native grasses that grow here naturally at the ranch.  No man made feed products are ever fed to our bison.  We never apply pesticides or herbicides to our pastures, which allows us to produce the most wholesome and healthy protein on the market today.

Thank you for supporting the Silver Bison Ranch.  We are pleased to serve you and heighten your awareness of the magnificent Bison, the largest of all North American mammals.  The ranch shop is open 1PM to 5PM Saturdays and Sundays, all other times by appointment; phone 715-684-2811.  For driving directions and a map please click on the Directions link above.  Thanks!
